Dr. Karl Winter earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and has been involved with dental implants for over 33 years. He has since become a recognized leader in implant dentistry and received prosthetic and surgical certificates from the Misch Implant Institute. He was awarded an International Congress of Oral Implantologists fellowship and secured diplomate status. Dr. Winter trained under the legendary Dr. Carl E. Misch at the Mish Implant Institute and maintained a close professional relationship with Dr. Misch until his passing. He then took over Dr. Misch’s implant practice in Beverly Hills, MI, allowing him access to a wide range of unique implant cases.
Dr. Winter is passionate about patient education and preventive care and is strongly committed to helping patients of all ages build lasting oral health. His work in implantology allows him to restore function and confidence for those with missing teeth and empowers general dentists through education and mentorship. While emphasizing the value of oral health education, Dr. Winter is committed to providing quality dental care to younger patients to help them form healthy dental habits and smile confidently into adulthood.
The Elite Implant Institute, a private teaching center dedicated to practical, real-world implant education was founded by Dr. Winter. He opened the institute after conducting studies for BioHorizons®. He also serves as an assistant adjunct clinical professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, training the next generation of dental professionals.
Dr. Shane Shafi, DMD, MS, is a highly skilled and compassionate periodontist based in Naperville, Illinois. With a solid foundation in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Shafi’s journey into dentistry began with a profound interest in the intricate science behind oral health. Dr. Shafi earned his dental degree from Temple University – Kornberg School of Dentistry, where he discovered his passion for periodontal disease management and dental implantology.
In his free time, Dr. Shane enjoys skiing, playing golf, and spending time with his family. His dedication to both his profession and personal life exemplifies his holistic approach to well-being, making him a well-rounded and approachable dental provider. Dr. Shafi hails from a distinguished dental lineage, with his grandfather, mother, twin brother, and younger sister all practicing dentists. This rich family heritage has endowed him with a deep well of experience and insight, further enhancing his ability to deliver exceptional care rooted in generations of expertise.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Aladdin Soliman pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia, graduating with Summa Cum Laude distinction. During his time at Temple, he earned three prestigious awards:

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Aladdin has undergone advanced training and holds certifications in All-On-X surgery and immediate restorations using a 100% digital workflow, allowing for increased patient comfort during these advanced procedures.
Dr. Fard earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry and completed his specialty training in prosthodontics, along with a Master of Science degree, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. With more than 30 years of experience in implant dentistry and patient care helping patients restore the health, function, and appearance of their smiles.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Fard has served in the faculty of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry for three decades, where he has educated and mentored future generations of dental professionals. Throughout his academic career, he has directed courses in implantology, fixed and removable partial dentures, and esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Fard is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He currently serves as President of Michigan American College of Prosthodontists, reflecting his ongoing commitment to excellence, leadership, and advancement in the field of prosthodontics.
